Six EUTOPIA PhD research grants at NOVA

In close collaboration with Nova University Lisbon, the EUTOPIA alliance invites applications for six PhD research grants. This prestigious scholarship programme presents a unique opportunity for aspiring researchers to pursue high-quality projects designed to have a global impact.

The scholarship programme supports PhD projects in all areas, co-supervised by academics from EUTOPIA member universities, and aims to create synergies between the consortium partners and promote the sharing of research environments between the Alliance entities involved. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to benefit from the vibrant scientific environment provided by the alliance and the expertise of world-class scholars in their respective fields.

The scholarship programme is open to candidates who choose Nova University Lisbon as their home institution. Successful applicants will receive a mixed scholarship of annual duration, renewable up to a maximum of four years (48 months). They will have the opportunity to partially undertake their research work plan at Nova University Lisbon. In addition, the work plan period in one of the foreign institutions cannot be less than 12 months nor more than 24 continuous or interrupted months.

We invite candidates to submit their applications before May 14th (23:59, Lisbon time) via email to eutopia.phd@unl.pt. All supporting documents for the application should be included as foreseen in the Announcement of the Call.

This scholarship programme for doctoral research at Nova University Lisbon is financed by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the scope of the collaboration protocol of the EUTOPIA European University alliance, signed between Nova University Lisbon and FCT. The programme will lead to high-quality research projects with a global impact, and we look forward to welcoming successful applicants to our dynamic academic community.
