On Thursday the 24th of November 2022, the Learning Community Global Connections Migration Project Week culminated in a session that saw the 8 transnational student teams, composed of 48 students (UoW, CY, UoL & UPF, BA/BS & MA/MS), present their projects.
A result of work conducted virtually in their groups over a period of two weeks, the quality and creativity displayed was impressive. A range of presentation mediums was used by groups including a short video, letters, a collage, an Instagram account, a Padlet board, poems, a leaflet, and a book. The projects, self-decided and led by students covered and approached diverse aspects of migration in a global context.
Students valued working with peers coming from different countries and disciplines, and enjoyed having free reign over the topic and their final product:
“This was a highly insightful activity providing me with the ability to learn about global connections and the impacts on migratory patterns which I had not learnt about before. The creative freedoms provided to us also made the activity even more enjoyable.”
