On May 10th and 11th 2023 Ca’ Foscari University of Venice hosted the event “Pedagogical innovation models - Connected Communities in action!”. The seminar provided local and international insights into innovative educational perspectives which combine teaching, research and innovation. Jo Angouri (University of Warwick) and Rosette S’Jegers (Vrije University Brussel), explored models of pedagogical innovation with participants. The seminar was held in line with the launch for the first application round for the new integrated format of EUTOPIA MORE Connected Communities. Ca' Foscari staff also took the stage to share examples of important innovative education experiences.
CCs are integrated thematic networks, in which professors, researchers and students from different universities of the Alliance collaborate in cross-disciplinary knowledge activities. These Communities mean to strengthen the existing good practices in challenge-based learning and research, creating inter-university connections on a European level. Three base concepts guide these Communities: connecting the academic world and society, linking teaching and research, and creating inclusive knowledge activities for a wide range of learners.
