Connected Community in Action: Disentangling Urban Education in European Capitals
From March 20th to 25th 2023, the LC Urban Education hosted a EUTOPIA Urban Education Week led by the Multidisciplinary Institute for Teacher Education at the VUB and partners from CY, UoL and BBU.
Supported by an ERASMUS+ Blended Intensive Programme grant, the community experimented with the design of a blended course addressing the complex urban educational issues in European Capitals. Complemented by prior weeks of online work between students, the in-person week took place in Brussels, filled with activities bridging research and practice across the city. Students took part in various cultural visits (Cultureghem VZW, mimamuseum.eu, House of European History) and visited and discussed with students at two different schools KAEH and KAT.
A seminar held at the University Foundation brought the week to a close, with student presentations and group discussions on the future perspectives for the ongoing work on Urban Education.
