EUTOPIA Design+Science Summer School: Paraintelligence - Hosted by the University of Ljubljana
Within the framework of the Learning Community Design & Science, the University of Ljubljana will host the EUTOPIA Summer School Design+Science on Para-intelligence between (10—14 July 2023). Organised by the leads at UoL, alongside the University of Split, FH Joanneum & PiNA; the school aims to provide a collaborative platform that stimulates multidisciplinary approaches and fosters comprehensive perspectives on the important topics of today and tomorrow.
The theme of para-intelligence refers to intelligence beyond traditional cognitive abilities, such as intuition and emotional intelligence. AI is the intelligence of machines that simulate human cognitive functions. Topics will be tackled through lectures, discussions, group work, and hands-on activities to understand their potential impact on our world.
Led by renowned experts at the intersection of design and various scientific fields, the school will allow students (master, PhD and young professionals), to explore why we humans are so interested in creating intelligent systems and how our future will depend on their evolution.
The school is open to participants from the design field but also to related practices such as architecture, art, computer sciences, social sciences, natural sciences and others.
