This month, it's the turn of Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona (UPF), a young, extraordinarily dynamic university which is recognised not only for the outstanding quality of its teaching and research but also for the high standard of its facilities in Barcelona. 

UPF is a public university located in Barcelona. It is a highly competitive institution that prioritizes research and aims to provide an education that responds to future challenges. The university was established in 1990 with the goal of creating a public institution that would focus on academic excellence and contribute to the country's development.

UPF has been selective in the areas of knowledge it focuses on, with a specialization in research and training related to various dimensions of human beings, including biology, communication, and social phenomena.

In the context of major global challenges, UPF has undertaken an imperative commitment as a university institution: to help find solutions for the main challenges facing humanity and the planet, as outlined in the Planetary Wellbeing initiative.
