The International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) returns on 18–19 June 2025, providing undergraduates from around the world an opportunity to showcase their research on an international platform. Established in 2013 by Monash University and the University of Warwick, ICUR connects students from up to 13 institutions across six continents, fostering interdisciplinary conversations and collaborations through cutting-edge video conferencing technology.
ICUR is more than just a conference—it’s a global research community. Undergraduate participants share their work with peers and academics worldwide, gaining insights that transcend disciplinary boundaries. Past presenters have praised the event for its global exposure, networking opportunities, and comprehensive support. One participant noted how ICUR “puts your research into perspective” by linking it with the broader academic community. Another highlighted the value of engaging with students from diverse disciplines, such as addressing environmental challenges through the lenses of biology, economics, and statistics.
Since the inception of the EUTOPIA Alliance, students from all member universities are warmly welcomed to participate in this programme, enriching the conference’s diversity and scope.
The conference offers an immersive experience, with year-round mentoring, workshops, and opportunities for feedback. Participants can publish their research in *Reinvention*, an international undergraduate journal.
