The International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR)
What is ICUR?
The International Conference of Undergraduate Research (ICUR) is an annual hybrid conference celebrating excellence in undergraduate research worldwide. In addition to global partner institutions across multiple continents, Warwick offers the opportunity to participate in ICUR to undergraduate students from institutions across the EUTOPIA network.
But ICUR is more than one event.
It is a year-round programme of training and support for academic and professional development, from abstract submission through to presentation. It is an internationally immersive opportunity for students to network with and learn from the perspectives of like-minded undergraduates from all over the world – crucially, without students needing to travel in order to benefit from these experiences and connections. Above all, it is a supportive yet rigorous research experience, helping students to develop their confidence and professional skills in communication, presentation, and engagement.

How to Participate?
ICUR 2026 will take place across in person and online platforms from 29th - 30th September 2026.
All students at EUTOPIA institutions are eligible and encouraged to participate in ICUR to share their research outcomes.
We are now accepting abstract submissions for ICUR 2026 until the abstract submission deadline of 30th March 2026. Everyone who attends our student-led conference will find a welcoming and encouraging setting in which to present their work, engage in discussion and learn more about research being undertaken by students around the world.

In the ICUR programme, we provide comprehensive training and support throughout the year. The ICUR Portal is full of resources for students, from Everything You Need to Know Before submitting through Writing and Submitting Your Abstract and Developing Your Presentation; and we have a robust Training Calendar with a full programme of support sessions covering abstract development, interdisciplinary exploration, and (as we get closer to the conference) audience engagement and presentation skills.
Please get in touch with the staff team at ICUR@warwick.ac.uk if you have any questions, or with our Student Directors at ICURstudents@warwick.ac.uk if you'd prefer to seek peer support!
