EUTOPIA Groundwater Workshop & Conference 2025


After the successful first edition of the EUTOPIA - Groundwater Workshop & Conference 2024 in Brussels, Belgium, the Groundwater Research Group of the Department of Water and Climate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in collaboration with EUTOPIA partner Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), invites researchers, stakeholders, and institutions working on groundwater to participate in the EUTOPIA - Groundwater Workshop & Conference 2025 in Dresden, Germany.

This second edition will feature a two-day workshop on Managed Aquifer Recharge (MAR) modeling using the INOWAS platform, followed by a one-day conference with keynote presentations by the following experts:
  • Marijke Huysmans: Associate Professor in Groundwater Hydrology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel
  • Catalin Stefan: Head of Research Group INOWAS on Managed Aquifer Recharge at TU Dresden
  • Philipp Wanner: Associate Professor at the Earth Science Department at the University of Gothenburg
  • Andreas Hartmann: Managing Director of the Institute of Groundwater Management at TU Dresden
