Applications for the Fernandes Fellowships programme are open

The University of Warwick and Universidade NOVA are launching the second round of Fernandes fellowships. It aims to support researcher exchanges between both universities. These fellowships will catalyse long-term interdisciplinary research collaborations and deepen the educational and research links between these institutions to further develop the partnership created through their participation in the EUTOPIA Alliance.

Through this programme, researchers at the University of Warwick will be able to visit NOVA and researchers at NOVA will be able to visit the University of Warwick. Applications are particularly encouraged in areas of strategic importance (e.g. Global Research Priorities) or shared areas of research excellence at Warwick and NOVA.

What is provided ? 

• A stipend of £2,200 per month to cover living and accommodation costs during periods of travel (NOVA visitors to Warwick) or travel and subsistence costs in line with Warwick Financial Regulations (Warwick staff travelling to NOVA)
• Travel costs (including visa fees) of up to £1,100
• Research, support and training costs of up to £1,100 per month

The deadline for applications is 5th December 2023 at 5pm.
