VUB Leadership Week Opening Ceremony

On behalf of the VUB and under the auspices of our Leadership Week 2022, you are cordially invited to attend an inspirational online speech on leadership by invited speaker Sile Walsh on 30 May 2022.

After an introduction on the leadership ambitions of the VUB (13:00 – 13:30), leadership expert Sile Walsh will give a keynote speech on ‘Leadership as a practice: Drawing on Inclusive leadership during times of VUCA’ (13:30 – 14:50). A short introduction to the speech can be found below:

How can inclusive leadership support us with volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA)? How can we harness inclusive leadership for performance during and after times of VUCA? Viewing leadership as a practice rather than a position supports us in exploring the complexity of leadership and its application for moving through challenging times. Opening our thinking to “How can we use inclusive leadership to provide real value to VUB and its people, staff, associates and students alike?” In addition, we invite the audience to reflect on the translation of these insights and practices to an academic setting.
