Visit of Mattia Bellotti and Tiziana Lippiello to the International University of Rabat: 28th June 2024

On 28 June 2024, Mattia Bellotti (Secretary-General of EUTOPIA) and Tiziana Lippiello (Rector of Ca' Foscari University of Venice and Chair of the EUTOPIA Board of Presidents) visited the International University of Rabat (UIR), one EUTOPIA's six global partners. 

The International University of Rabat is currently involved in the activities of the Internationalisation at Home and Responsible Internationalisation Working Groups within the EUTOPIA MORE project. UIR staff have also been actively participating to EUTOPIA Weeks, including the recent EUTOPIA Week in Cluj-Napoca (June 2024). Additionally, since Academic Year 2023 /2024, the International University of Rabat delivers the EUTOPIA Certificate of Internationalisation.

The programme included a welcome by Noureddine Mouaddib (President of the International University of Rabat), and meetings with Abdelaziz Benjouad (Vice-President for Research, Innovation and Partnerships), Jamal Boukouray (Director of International Relations & Partnerships), and Meryem El Alaoui (Head of International Relations & Partnerships).

Vice-President Abdelaziz Benjouad and Director Jamal Boukouray presented the expansion plans of the International University of Rabat. The discussions also focused on exploring how to strengthen the participation of the International University of Rabat in EUTOPIA and explore new collaboration opportunities for the future. 

The visit included a tour of the state-of-the-art facilities at the International University of Rabat campus.
