Join the EUTOPIA Central Office Team: Finance and Operations Officer (6-month maternity cover)


The EUTOPIA Central Office is recruiting a Finance and Operations Officer for a six-month temporary position from January to June 2026, covering the current postholder’s maternity leave. This is a unique opportunity to join the team at the heart of the EUTOPIA Alliance.

Based at Usquare in Brussels (Ixelles), the Finance and Operations Officer will ensure the smooth financial and administrative running of the Central Office. The role includes managing budgets and reporting, supporting operational coordination, maintaining data dashboards, and assisting with ongoing financial and business intelligence activities.

The Central Office is looking for for candidates with:
  • Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience in financial or operational coordination, preferably within higher education or EU-funded projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; familiarity with Power BI or other reporting tools is an asset.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent command of English; knowledge of French or Dutch is an advantage for liaising with local providers.
  • Comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment and maintaining good working relationships. 

This is a full-time position under a VUB temporary contract (ATP grade 6–7, depending on experience). The successful candidate will work in an open, international, and collaborative environment that values diversity, balance, and professional growth.
