Exchange of top researchers from the EUTOPIA partners TUD and VUB at the first joint NETWORK STUDIO Clinical AI

More than 30 experts from Brussels and Dresden met at TU Dresden on January 11, 2024 to discuss applications of artificial intelligence in medicine and to jointly develop ideas for new research projects.

For the first time, the NETWORK STUDIO format developed by the TUD Project Scouts was held together with an international partner university from the EUTOPIA network - the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). Angela Rösen-Wolff, Vice-Rector Research at TUD, and Pieter Ballon, Vice-Rector Research at VUB, had invited everyone to the Rectorate's festive hall and everyone came.

Inspiring pitches not only highlighted the spectrum and quality of research on this topic at both universities, but during the breaks and over dinner, ideas for cooperation were born and further intensification of the collaboration was agreed. Afterwards, everyone involved agreed that the effort put into preparing the event and the long journey from Brussels to Dresden had been more than worthwhile.

The successful premiere of the NETWORK STUDIO Clinical AI will be the prelude to further intensification of the cooperation with our Belgian partner university - further STUDIO formats with the VUB and other TUD partner universities are to follow!
