The EUTOPIA PhD co-tutelle program is still accepting applications for its 2024 cycle. The program offers a unique experience for doctoral candidates to engage in high-quality research projects under the joint supervision of academics from prestigious universities across Europe. The participating universities include Babes-Bolyai University, Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Ca’Foscari University of Venice, CY Cergy Paris Université, Technische Universität Dresden, NOVA University Lisbon, Pompeu Fabra University-Barcelona, and The University of Warwick.
PhD fellowships ranging from 3 to 4 years are available and are tailored to the length of doctoral studies in the partner universities. While not every university acts as a HOME institution providing funding, all can participate as HOST partners, ensuring a collaborative and reciprocal approach in evaluating and supporting projects.
Students are encouraged to submit applications through the online application platform provided by EUTOPIA, which is open until May 20.
Evaluation of proposals will be rigorous, with criteria including the quality of the research project, qualifications of the researchers, and the added value of the co-tutelle arrangement. A peer review process, followed by an assessment from a joint panel comprising representatives from all participating institutions, will determine the successful candidates. Additionally, institutional pertinence and alignment with strategic priorities will be considered, reflecting the commitment of the universities to impactful research and collaboration.
The EUTOPIA PhD co-tutelle program offers aspiring researchers a platform to engage in cutting-edge projects and contribute to global knowledge exchange. As the deadline approaches, prospective applicants are encouraged to seize this opportunity!
