TUD Dresden University of Technology is one of the largest Universities of Technology in Germany and is among the leading and most dynamic universities in the country. With 17 Faculties across 5 Schools, it offers a widespread range of 119 degree programs and covers a broad spectrum of research. Its focuses on Life Sciences, Quantum Materials, Microelectronics, Tactile Internet, Materials Science, Data-Intensive and Digital Sciences, Circular Economy and Societal Change are considered exemplary across Europe.
About 30,000 students currently complete their studies with a Bachelor's, Master's, Diplom or state examination. International dual degrees are available for selected subjects. The spectrum stretches from Architecture to German studies and Dental medicine. Internationally, TUD has earned an excellent reputation. About 18% of its students come from abroad. Today, about 9,000 employees from 89 countries work at TU Dresden.
Since 2012, TUD Dresden University of Technology has been one of Germany’s eleven Universities of Excellence, which have received funding within the framework of the Excellence Strategy of the Federal and State Governments since November 1, 2019. The Excellence title confirms the potential of one of Germany‘s largest technical universities. We currently boast 3 Clusters of Excellence:

Founded in 1828, TUD Dresden University of Technology has a history that stretches back nearly 200 years. With a wide range of subjects, our university plays an outstanding role in Germany’s university landscape.
