EUTOPIAn Students make waves at the 'Forum of European Universities for the Future of Europe'

Organized in the context of the French Presidency of the EU, the Forum of Universities for the Future of Europe brought stakeholders from across the European education sector (virtually) together in Paris 24 – 25 January 2022. The Forum provided an opportunity for reflection on the role of universities in the Europe of the future and their contribution to its construction.

Through dialogue involving national authorities, the European Commission, and the European stakeholders in the higher education sector, including alliances such as the European Universities, this event was an incubator for new proposals for shaping the university of tomorrow, drawing in particular on the feedback from the 41 alliances set up under the “European Universities” initiative, among which stood EUTOPIA.

EUTOPIA’s PhD student representative Carmen was selected to attend the event as a student rapporteur, and represented the voice of EUTOPIAn students in the company of ministers, EU officials, Higher Education institutions, …

Other familiar EUTOPIA faces in attendance: former EUTOPIA Student Council President Marie presented the Student Manifesto on the Future of European Universities, while CY’s Vice-President for the EUTOPIA alliance Luciana Radut Gaghi was a panelist at the workshop on being a student in Europe, focusing on a sense of belonging, inclusion, and well-being.
