EUTOPIA Inclusion and Diversity Week
Inclusion is one of the key principles of the EUTOPIA alliance To celebrate that and the three years of work that the inclusion task force has put into building a more inclusive university, EUTOPIA is organizing an Inclusion and Diversity Week on November 14th - 18th across the campuses of the VUB, CY Cergy Paris University, the Universities of Gothenburg, Ljubljana, and Warwick, the UPF, as well as online.

- The opening event keynote speech "Reframing the encounter: From repressed colonial pile to a collaborative decolonial counter-archive", by Cecilia Järdemar from the University of Arts, Crafts and Design (Stockholm).

”Study hour” – Broadening experiences in collaboration
Since 2019 teacher students from the University of Gothenburg have had the opportunity to broaden their perspectives on the teaching profession. Pupils aged 10 – 15 years from Lövgärdet and Tynnered, two exposed areas, have got the chance to broaden their perspectives by meeting University students and helping them with their homework. A cooperation between the University and the non-profit organisation Räddningsmissionen.

"Ocean Blues is an example of the faculty´s outreach project that connects young adults with the university and university staff, whilst discussing environmental issues in a solution-oriented way. Through the Ocean Blues workshops, university staff builds relationships with the surrounding society, aims to increase committment to transform anxiety to action and lower the thresholds into higher education for young adults in diverse communities. The project methodology has aroused the interest of other projects as well as the general public."
