The New Possible, At Hand - 25-26 April 2022

After two years of the pandemic, which has challenged the collective understanding of many issues well beyond public health, epidemic indicators and restrictions seem to relax and the public opinion is rapidly moving its focus to other issues. However, we believe that some of the issues highlighted by COVID-19 should be kept on the agenda.

The aim of the 2022 BeEUTOPIAn Student Conference, under the motto 'The New Possible, At Hand' is to do just that: reclaim, at a key moment, a meaningful space for discussion, exchange of knowledge, and networking for university students across the EUTOPIA Alliance.
The BeEUTOPIAn conference will take place both online and face-to-face at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

The conference is structured in two days, April 25 and 26. The focus of the first day will be on youth mental health and the sustained impact the pandemic has had on emotional vitality amongst young people, as well as discussing how Artificial Intelligence can be both a risk and an opportunity for human affection in the post-pandemic.

The focus of the second day will be on student participation in our time, and on how student associations have been changed by the pandemic. We will hear from engaged students and representatives making a positive impact across the EUTOPIA Alliance and we will come up with creative, student-grown solutions to global problems.

This year's BeEUTOPIAn Conference is organised by the EUTOPIA Student Think Tank (EUSTT)

The EUSTT is a student-led initiative created out of the determination of the EUTOPIA Student Council to further connect the university communities across the Alliance. We strive to empower young researchers across disciplines by publishing their research and giving space for public discussion. We also organise and manage student-led events across the Alliance.

The EUSTT takes the opportunity and responsibility to engage students to debate on pressing challenges and issues. The BeEUTOPIAn Student Conference, an annually held conference organized for and by the students of alliance universities, allows them to come together to address and respond to topics that matter for the EUTOPIA community and the world.
