Are you tasked with developing a data management plan or working on sharing your data according to the FAIR principles? Then join our two EUTOPIA training webinars on research data management. All sessions are free to attend online for all researchers and staff from EUTOPIA members.

With this series, EUTOPIA aims to support the development of Open Science skills and competences within its academic community. The series follows a successful webinar on Open Science in Horizon Europe. Moreover, we will present guidance documents prepared by EUTOPIA experts on Open Science. The sessions and guidance material are made available via the EUTOPIA YouTube channel and Zenodo community.

Planning for research data management: the basics

This introductory session will introduce fundamental concepts in research data management such as the research data lifecycle, explain what is expected in data management plans (DMPs), and present recommendations how to select a repository.

A deeper look into RDM practices: the FAIR principles and the role of metadata

Thursday, 10 November 2022, 10:00-12:00 CET

This session will discuss the FAIR principles for research data in more detail, explain the relevance of metadata for sharing data, and explain how to find suitable metadata standards and which tools can support this. We will also present our the respective EUTOPIA training material on metadata.
