Upcoming events

  • The Academic Leads will have a Skype meeting on the 3rd of October to prepare for the upcoming meetings and official Kick Off at the beginning of December.
 
  • The next WP Education and WP Research and Innovation meeting will take place on 8 October in Brussels. There will be separate sessions and joint session in order to foster cohesion between the activities of both work packages. The agenda can be found here.
 
  • The meeting with the HR managers of all EUTOPIA partners is being organised on 16-17 October in Brussels. They will discuss about the administrative impact of EUTOPIA 2050 and current issues in human resources which can be addressed in EUTOPIA. The agenda can be found here.
 
  • On 16 October, the VUB is organizing ‘Europe Day: Celebrating 15 Years EU Enlargement’. Next to a country fair and food trucks, there will be an academic panel on "15 years after the Eastern enlargement, are we growing together or moving apart?", which will look at how successful this enlargement has been, how the future looks, and how this enlargement has impacted student exchange programmes. Past events

  • On Friday 20 September VUB celebrated its 50-year anniversary in the presence of representatives of the EUTOPIA universities. On the same day a networking lunch with representatives of the CIVIS European University took place. Pictures of this day can be found on the EUTOPIA website
 
  • Representatives of the EUTOPIA universities met at EAIA 2019 in Helsinki, the biggest annual educational conference in Europe. The University of Gothenburg organised a lunch event on 26th September for its partners and members of WP 6 International met on 25th September. It was an opportunity to get to know one another, meet face to face, and have some initial discussions around the work package. 
 
  • On September 25, the university of Ljubljana co-organised the Innovation Day 2019 with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. They participated among other things in motivational speeches on connecting economy and institutions of knowledge as well as quick presentations of hot technologies and solutions of institutions of knowledge for use in the economy. 
 
  • UPF and VUB successfully participated for the first time in the virtual International Conference for Undergraduate Research organised by the University of Warwick and Monash University. The aim is to develop this further as part of the EUTOPIA alliance next year as one of the aims of WP6 Open to the World. More information about ICUR can be found HERE
