  • BSc in Physics, University of Barcelona, Spain (2003).
  •  PhD in Theoretical Biophysics, focusing on the physical mechanisms of membrane shaping, University of Barcelona (2008), with research stays at Tel Aviv University in Misha Kozlov’s lab.
  • Postdoctoral researcher in Cell Biology in Vivek Malhotra’s lab at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), Barcelona, Spain (2009-2015), working on Golgi organization and export, membrane fission, and sphingolipid homeostasis.
  • 2015–2025, independent research fellow at the Single Molecule Biophotonics group at ICFO – The Institute of Photonic Sciences (Barcelona, Spain), investigating the physical and molecular mechanisms of transport carrier formation and organelle dynamics in the early secretory pathway, with a methodological focus on super-resolution and single-molecule fluorescence microscopy techniques to study intracellular dynamics.
  • 2025–, group leader in quantitative biology at the UPF, Barcelona, working on the molecular and physical principles of cellular organization
