EUTOPIA TRAIN (Transforming Research and Innovation) is a Horizon 2020 SwafS project (2020-2023) reinforcing research excellence, Open Science and innovation capacity within the EUTOPIA Alliance — a flagship alliance of the European Universities Initiative.

Coordinated by University of Gothenburg (2021–2023), EUTOPIA TRAIN contributed directly to the objectives of the European Research Area (ERA) by:

• Integrating transnational research ecosystems
• Reforming research assessment practices
• Mainstreaming Open Science
• Strengthening human capital and mobility
• Enhancing societal engagement and knowledge valorisation
