Dr Nompilo Tshuma is an academic in the Centre for Higher and Adult Education at Stellenbosch University. She has worked in both student and academic staff development in a number of universities, and is currently working with Masters and Doctoral students with a specific focus on Higher Education Studies. Her research focuses on a critical and nuanced study of educational technology integration for research, teaching and learning. Nompilo is passionate about developing researchers, and has been involved in designing and facilitating a range of short courses for the professional development of academic staff. These courses have been offered in a number of universities within South Africa and in a number of African countries, and include a focus on research foundations and design, postgraduate supervision and writing for academic publication.
