Prof. Dr. Gregor Anderluh is Director of the National Institute of Chemistry. He holds a PhD in biological sciences and has been affiliated with the Institute since 2011, previously serving as Professor of Biochemistry at the Biotechnical Faculty of the University of Ljubljana. His research focuses on cell membranes and membrane‑interacting proteins, particularly pore‑forming proteins involved in bacterial pathogenesis, immune responses, and developmental processes. Prof. Anderluh is a full member of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU), Academia Europaea, and the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).
