On 13 May 2026, the ten universities of the EUTOPIA Alliance will simultaneously host EUTOPIA Day, a shared celebration designed to demonstrate the tangible benefits of European university cooperation to their local communities of students, academics, and professional staff.
The central aim of the day is to highlight how EUTOPIA adds a genuinely international dimension to everyday university life, opening up new pathways for study, research, and careers that transcend national borders.
Under the motto “EUTOPIA in Action”, the events will showcase concrete opportunities for students and researchers while encouraging participants to help shape the future of higher education in Europe.
Programmes have already been developed at several partner institutions. In Slovenia, the University of Ljubljana has organised a full day of activities from 11:30 to 16:00, including a workshop on turning international experiences into a labour-market advantage, networking sessions for Erasmus+ students from across the alliance, and presentations on participation opportunities.
At the Dresden University of Technology in Germany, the focus will be on personal stories and practical outcomes. The programme features lightning talks and “EUTOPIA Stories” from participants in Connected Communities, the Young Leaders programme, and the Innovation Challenge, along with an outlook on the future development of the EUTOPIA College. A poster exhibition will present key results and collaborations from recent years, followed by networking over refreshments.
Similar events will take place across the alliance’s other member universities, creating a pan-European moment of connection and reflection. Free to attend but requiring registration, EUTOPIA Day 2026 offers students, researchers, and staff a chance to discover new opportunities.
