The EUTOPIA Research Days are a key mechanism of the Alliance, uniting researchers and research managers from all partner universities around one of the alliance’s lighthouse themes. The goal of the Research Days is to forge interdisciplinary teams capable of delivering high-impact, fundable research within the European University landscape.
Held during EUTOPIA Weeks, these sessions enable focused, high-level collaboration. Their core aim is to create synergies, form cross-institutional teams, and develop joint projects ready to compete for Horizon Europe funding, thereby boosting research excellence across European universities.
In November 2024, CY Cergy Paris Université hosted Research Days focused on cultural heritage. In June–July 2025, the University of Warwick organised Research Days (1–2 July) on AI, convening partners and global affiliates for workshops and panels to shape AI-driven project consortia. Later in 2025, Università Ca’ Foscari Venezia (1–5 December) dedicated its Research Days to climatic resilience linking heritage and water, advancing debates and networking on sustainability and climate adaptation.
