Call For Papers: EUTOPIA Multilingualism & Diversity Student Conference Multilingualism

Join the upcoming EUTOPIA Multilingualism & Diversity Student Conference Multilingualism in the Modern Era: Global Connections and Identity on 8 July 2026.

Multilingualism has always played a crucial role in shaping identities, and connecting people from various cultures and communities. As modern society continues its rapid globalisation, multilingualism has also evolved into a tool for advancement, and for navigating our highly interconnected and intercultural world. The aim of this conference is to provide a platform for those with a keen interest in Multilingualism in our current society, whilst making student-led research more accessible.

We invite students to submit research related but not limited to the following topics:

  • Multilingualism and Technology (e.g. use of technology in multilingual study, technology as a means for multilingualism and connections).
  • Multilingualism and Global Mobility (e.g. work, migration).
  • Language and Identity (e.g. how language shapes the culture of the community, the impact of global languages like English, French, or Mandarin).
  • Multilingualism in Everyday Life (e.g. education, everyday lifestyles, multicultural communities, bilingual/multilingual upbringings, intercultural interactions).

  • Get an official certificate from EUTOPIA upon participation.

Submission guidelines:

Please fill THIS FORM by 26 April 2026.

Participants will be required to present their research for 10-15 minutes with presentation slides.

As this is a multilingual conference, please note that you will be free to use your preferred language for your presentation but at least one component (oral presentation or slides) should be in English (e.g. you can present in Spanish with slides in English or vice-versa).
