The EUTOPIA College

EUTOPIA’s long-term objective in education is to create a pool of shared educational offerings within the EUTOPIA College.

The EUTOPIA College will showcase ambitious, internationally visible programmes and will provide the EUTOPIA Inter-University Campus, a user-friendly online gateway for supporting access to the educational offerings, including all types of mobility (virtual, physical and hybrid).

The education will consist of a broad range of joint and shared courses, with an important proportion of courses open to Lifelong Learners. They will share the following characteristics:

  • Presenting a strong European dimension
  • Promoting challenge-based teaching, targeting specific problems
  • Tailoring new academic profiles combining the set of skills to be offered to the new generation of students to tackle global challenges at various levels

The EUTOPIA College will display courses courses with agreed standards, corresponding to European models:

  • EUTOPIA-labelled courses
  • Micro-Credentials
  • Joint Modules
  • Joint Courses
  • European Degree label

The EUTOPIA Inter-University Campus will include the following components:

  • A course catalogue displaying all offerings for students and staff
  • Fully digitalised process for student admission with Single Sign on Services
  • Process for issuing certifications (Modules, Micro-Credentials)
  • Process and monitoring tool for recognition
  • A University register system giving access to local LMS of all partner Universities.

The EUTOPIA College programmes will be fully integrated in local programmes and a significant part of students will take advantage of the EUTOPIA College courses. 

The EUTOPIA Steering Committee comprising of our 10 Vice-Rectors for Education of the EUTOPIA members meets regularly in order to ensure the quality of the College activities and its embeddedness within the framework of the EUTOPIA member Universities.
