PhD Symposium on Innovation for Sustainable Construction
This symposium, taking place on July 6th (at the University of NOVA Lisbon) will bring together PhD candidates and renown researchers working on cutting-edge solutions to advance sustainability in the construction sector. It is a great opportunity to share your research, receive feedback, and connect with an international academic community.
We invite PhD students to submit extended abstracts related, but not limited, to the following topics:
- Digitalisation and smart construction
- Eco-efficient and compatible conservation, repair and retrofitting
- Energy-efficient and low-carbon design
- Sustainable and circular construction materials, products and technologies

Cross-campus online project
From April to June 2026, 4 CY students and 2 TUD students worked together to create a new design of a specific building, the chosen topic is “A second skin for Niemeyer” (Renovation of OlympiadesBuilding, located at Fontenay-sous-Bois (94)). They had to write a full report on technical aspects, make a 3-min video presentation, and create a presentation poster. At the end of the project, the presented their outcomes online in front of teachers of the community.
