Eleni De Becker is Assistant Professor in (European) Social Security Law at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and a substitute lecturer at KU Leuven (Belgium). She focuses on fundamental social rights, social security protection for atypical workers, and the role of the EU in the social security schemes of the EU Member States. She has considerable experience in teaching and research in the field of social security law. She regularly advises the Belgian, Dutch and European policymakers in social security. Eleni is also a member of the Editorial Board of the European Journal of Social Security, the Board of Directors of BEGASOZ and part of the working group on atypical work in the European Institute for Social Security.
