Bryan Brazeau is Reader in Liberal Arts at Warwick and the Academic Director of the Warwick Venice Centre. He was previously Head of Liberal Arts and Director of Undergraduate Studies (2022-2025). He obtained his MA and PhD in Italian Studies from New York University. Since joining Warwick in 2015, Dr Brazeau has played a key role in developing international partnerships and study abroad programmes, including launching the SCFS Warwick Venice Programme, a PhD Summer School in Venice on the Environmental Humanities, and chairing the WIHEA and WIE Internationalisation learning circles. His teaching and research explore Renaissance literature, poetics, and philosophy; interdisciplinary and international education; classical reception; and sustainability and ecocriticism.  His current research focuses on the narrative works of Lucrezia Marinella and Torquato Tasso. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has won both the Warwick Awards for Teaching and Personal Tutoring Excellence. He also has a history of research and teaching collaboration with Italian, European, and international partners.
