EUTOPIA TeamWork 2022: A new cross-campus, virtual international project programme for students!

Are you up for an international challenge this summer?

TeamWork is a virtual international experience programme taking place part-time, for four weeks between the end of June and the middle of August 2022.

It involves teams of up to 8 students from EUTOPIA universities working together virtually on an organization's project or challenge. TeamWork aims to give you international and intercultural experiences, plus virtual skills to enhance your employability.

In what ways can TeamWork help me as a student?

  • It improves your employability skills;
  • It provides valuable international experience;
  • It enhances your CV and expands your professional network;
  • It improves your self-confidence and intercultural understanding;
  • It develops your transferable skills such as communication, team working and problem solving -  all in high demand by employers around the world.

The University of Warwick has run TeamWork for the past three years - Here are some comments from recent TeamWork students:

Meeting and working with people in my project team was the highlight of my journey. I never expected such different opinions on what I thought was a straight-forward task – I learned so much!  Working and communicating within a multi-national, multi-cultural team looks great on my CV and is also useful to talk about in interviews.  TeamWork will really help me to stand out when I’m applying for jobs.” Warwick undergraduate, Engineering

Looking back, out of all the Video Interviews and Assessment Centres I did, over 75% of companies asked team work-related interview questions - this shows how important TeamWork is to employers.  I was easily able to answer these questions and showcase my different TeamWork experiences!” Warwick graduate, Management

Working with students from different universities and different time-zones really improved my collaboration, cultural and time-management skills. In an age where most companies have locations in different countries, gaining virtual project management experience gave me a competitive advantage over other job candidates. I used my experience and learnings from TeamWork right from the online application stage to the final interview stages and it always was a highlight among employers.” Warwick graduate, Economics

And a view from an employer

Going forwards, hybrid working is here to stay and the ability for a graduate to perform well in both an office and a non-office (home) location is vital. So a virtual internship is equally, if not more valuable, than an internship experience.”  Colgate-Palmolive Global Graduate Recruiter
