Governance

EUTOPIA acts as a confederation: an alliance of ten universities aiming at the establishment of several multidisciplinary joint education courses and joint research and innovation communities, seeking to expand mutual exchanges and enhance their curriculum and research and innovation offerings, willing to connect their regions in a joint impact strategy, engaging with stakeholders at local and global level, optimizing their available resources for the visibility and attractiveness of the partner institutions. 

As a confederation of universities, EUTOPIA preserves a high degree of autonomy for its members and accommodates national regulatory frameworks while assuring flexibility in enlarging its membership. EUTOPIA ensures the equal representation of the members in the bodies, does not act as a constraining institution, and encourages collaboration rather than competition between partners. 

Its governance is based on the highest principles of transparency and collaboration. The Alliance must proceed in a spirit of deep collaboration whilst allowing independence of action where appropriate.
