Tine Tysmans is Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Department of Mechanics and Constructions at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
Tine Tysmans, graduated MSc in Civil Engineering in 2006. She was also co-founder of the company Konligo. Her research is on cement composites for resource-efficient lightweight structures such as shells, scissor structures and sandwich panels. Internationally, she is working in EU projects Reconstruct and Addoptml, was a visiting researcher at Princeton University and ENISE Saint-Etienne.
She is an active member of the International Union of Laboratories and Experts in Construction Materials, Systems and Structures (RILEM).
